15 new things about Rockband 3

Now that Rockband 3 is coming out in october.. my financial planning took a giant shift.. gonna spend less now to save up for rb3.. its around rm800-1000.. so yeah.. :D cant wait.!!~


1. The effects lever still works in Rock Band 3, and Big Rock Endings are still included. (skeltonath on YouTube)
2. Rock Band 3 will include a GREATLY improved score details screen with a score breakdown showing points accumulated via accuracy, streak, overdrive, solo, and sustain. It will also show how a single player did versus how the entire band performed. (@Ajanata, @Poke_JJ)
3. Rock Band 3 can prompt you to buy a song if you play a friend’s playlist featuring songs you don’t have. (John D interview)
4. Animation style (Rock, Goth, Metal, etc.) has been removed from Rock Band 3, and instead will be tied to the style of the song being played. (John D interview)
5. Rock Band 2 will be exportable for ALL consoles. (John D interview)
6. DLC for pro-guitar/bass will be more expensive. (John D interview)
7. There will be no “super bundle” with game, keys, drums & cymbals, and pro-guitar(s). (John D interview)
8. The Mustang pro-guitar can play normal DLC, the Squier pro-guitar cannot. (John D interview)
9. Rock Band 3 will have a modifier that will show you where to place your fingers on the neck of the pro-guitar while playing. (John D interview)
