Shenlong

This is the XXXG-01S Shenlong Gundam from the Gundam Wing series. Piloted by Chang Wufei, the Shenlong is one of the 5 Gundams who were part of Operation Meteor.

So this kit is the KA version. It means that the design is based on the Endless Waltz movie not the anime version. The pictures below shows the difference. The one on the left is the Anime version of the Shenlong where the one on the right is the KA version. KA is the name of the designer Katoki.

The kit building is fairly simple and straightforward. Its like Bandai took a NG1/100 and depressingly tried to fit a frame into the kit. They also learned their lesson from the Deathscythe kit as this kit's proportions are better. No more small torso and long legs..

I like this kit. The colours are very nice. The head resembles the Wing Gundam though.
The main gimmick of this kit is the Dragon Fang.. Yes a dragon head on the right arm of Shenlong. Can be deployed to enable the flamethrower.. *BURN SUCKER BURN*

Its other weapon is the beam trident. Yeah.. all 5 Gundams of the Wing series has their own specialized weapon. The trident is cool. Not many Gundams uses the trident. So its a +1 for me! :D

Shield design is something special. Not your everyday sheild. lol

Comparison with the Deathscythe ver KA. Noting much to say except Bandai did a better job on Shenlong over the Deathscythe.

And at last.. all 3 of the Tier 1 Gundams from the Wing series version KA *good tat took me hard to write*.. LOL.. Sandrock is coming at the end of the year where as Heavyarms which is the most anticipated one is left last and most probably coming at the coming new year.

Prefer this kit over the DS anyday.. Gets a 7/10 for me.. Hands are still retarded and the skirt armors KEEPS on coming OFF!! zzzz.. Dragon Fang is heavy for such a small hand to support it. Not to mention the Gundams in WING are fairly smaller sized. So it looks miniaturized next to my HI-NU.. LOLZ
