Nokia 5800 Tube

Okay here's my nokia 5800 tube.. 1st of all.. its nokia's flagship touch phone which was release back about 2 months here in msia.. everything in the phone is nokia and the only thing new abt this phone is there is no keypad and its touchscreen only.. lol.. got mine about 3 days b4 the offical launch for only rm1350 with free screen protector and strap..

If u had an Xpressmusic phone then this is no different.. everything inside is the same..

Interface = 7/10 - 7 cuz although its nice but iPhone transition interface is much more smoother and this phone tends to lag.

Music = 9/10 - This phone has dual stereo speakers.. although it can play quite loud and clear but its not as good compared to the SE w550.. the one with 3 speakers.. lol..

Video = 10/10 - This thing about the phone is the mp4 video playback.. with the right resolution and encoding, this baby can play movies up to 3 hours long without screen freeze and lag..

Internet = 9/10 - Not bad considering there is a built it WLAN in it.. can use the internet anywhere with either WLAN provided or 3G.

Camera = 5/10 - why 5? cuz its good in the outdoors under sunlight and sux everythingelse.. taking indoor photo with this 3.2mp bullshit is bollocks.. no shit.. the amount of noise in the pic is lame.. but if u go outdoors.. under the sun, the pics and vids will be so damn clear.. in and out.. fairly average camera..

Memory/Space = 10/10 - woosh the phone comes with a 8gb memory card or if u got more cash to spend u can upgrade to 16gb.. but for me 8gb is damn a lot.. lol.. dono why u need 16gb unless u keep AHEM stuff.. hahaha...
Exterior = 6/10 - i say 6 cuz its a touchscreen phone with glossy housing and thus making it a nice fingerprint magnet. if ur fingsers are oily so is ur phone, if u dont have screen protector scratches will be ur fav problem.. go into a dark room.. yes a room with literally no lights.. on the phone and put in horizontally on a table and u see somthing.. yes light leakage.. on the top right hand corner of the phone u see light leaking out of the housing right? NO WORRIES!.. its a manufacturing defect all Tubes have it.. dont feel bad not like it is gonna explode or something.. still useable.. its not ur fault nokia used a cheap plastic. even if u pres on the housing u can hear the plastic shreak..

so overall i say this phone gets a 80/100.. go do the math.. and being that there are problems with some of the tubes too..

1. fucltuation of sound when talking over the phone.. sometimes the voice u hear is loud sometimes is soft.. its not the person on the other side's fault.. its ur tube.. there is a problem with the ear piece which is not connected properly so a visit to the Nokia Care Center wud solve the problem.. oh dont bring ur AP set to nokia they will stick a "fuck off" sticker on ur phone.. bring it to the dealer u buy from.. or u can DIY! like me.. go to youtube and search for the tute.. i forgot the title..

2. a vertical line on the screen? i havent encounter this so i dont know how it looks like but ppl say send back for warranty and it will be fine..

3. lag kills.. sometimes ur phone cant unlock even u slide the side lock.. well if that happends send to NCC!

and so the phone comes in a box lol if u buy it legit.. also comes with a standard nokia charger, movie stand, 5800 phone cover-ish protector, 2 pens and a stylus spectrum, mini dvd with Nokia Suite inside, usb cable and lots of manual and warranty card.

and soon there will be a black, yellow and green tube coming out to the market.. lol..

btw if u buy AP set u get either a Blue or Red spectrum a.k.a. prismatic guitar pick depending on the colour of ur phone. If u buy from nokia dont care its red or blue u get the GREY spectrum. IFF u buy a god knows wat set and dont have the spectrum.. LMAO u got ripped.. i got reports that nokia pyramid dont have spectrum if u buy the phone.. that report is so FALSE.. they shoed me that all of their 5800 have black spectrum coming along with the phone so if u dont have one and u bought from nokia.. LOL at u.. got conned.. nokia ripped u ahahahhahaha.. nab..

and the phone is not so bad.. can be used.. wont be long for me cuz i have decided to change to n97 coming soon in june.. shud have waited for that.. but oh well... till then chow..
